Effective Date: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Job Toast handles information through the Job Toast website and web application, the Job Toast Chrome extension, Job Toast server features, and related support services (together, the "Service"). It describes current practices and the choices available through the Service.
Information can move through the Service in four distinct ways:
The extension reads job pages and application-form structure across websites after you enable it. It does not submit job applications or click the final submit control. You review the filled application and decide whether to submit it.
The information involved depends on the features and saved fields you choose to use:
Job Toast uses information to:
We do not sell extension data. We do not use extension data for advertising, behavioral targeting, or unrelated profiling. We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or eligibility for lending. Information is used only to provide and operate Job Toast, fulfill actions you request, protect the Service, and meet legal obligations.
Job Toast's use and transfer of information received from Chrome extension APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
After enablement, the extension automatically reads page URLs, job-page signals, application-form structure, and navigation signals so it can identify job and application pages. Most detection remains local. When a signed-in extension panel opens on an eligible posting with missing job details, the extension can automatically send bounded job-page content to Job Toast for AI-assisted extraction. Saving a job, filling a form, inserting a document, generating a cover letter or interview answer, and retrying verification are separate actions you request.
The current Google authorization requests your basic Google profile and email address and the Gmail compose scope. The compose scope lets Job Toast create and send a Gmail message for an email action you initiate. Job Toast does not currently request Gmail read or watch scopes or any Google Calendar scope. Google OAuth scopes used by the web application are separate from Chrome extension permissions.
Job Toast integrates Google Gemini, Groq, and OpenAI routes for features such as job-data extraction, cover letters, follow-up drafts, interview questions and answers, and job analysis. The Kimi model is accessed through the Groq adapter. Routing may change based on the feature, plan, server configuration, provider availability, and fallback health. A provider named here is an integrated routing option, not a promise that every request uses it.
Depending on the feature, provider inputs can include bounded job-page content, a job description, your instructions, selected profile information, resume content, notes, or a draft. Job Toast also stores aggregate AI usage information for limits and operations. Provider retention, regional handling, and subprocessors can vary by provider and deployed account configuration; Job Toast does not make a permanent provider-wide guarantee in this notice. Configured routes for extension data must not use it to train generalized provider models and must follow the human-read restrictions below.
Job Toast shares information only with destinations needed for the uses described above, with a recipient you direct, or when required to protect rights, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process. This can include infrastructure, document-storage, email, payment, and AI providers, as well as the employer or ATS that receives values you choose to insert.
No employee, contractor, service-provider operator, or other person acting for Job Toast may read extension data unless you give explicit consent for specific data to be read, such as for a support case; the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations; access is necessary for security or abuse investigation; or access is required by law. Service providers may process extension data only as needed to provide or improve the disclosed extension workflow and are subject to their operational and contractual controls.
Retention periods vary by data class and destination. Extension credentials and much of its page context use browser-session storage or shorter logical expirations. The versioned privacy choice, saved-job fingerprints, offline save state, and preferences can remain in local extension storage until their feature clears them, you withdraw where applicable, browser storage is reset, or the extension is uninstalled.
Account records, saved jobs, progress, documents, generated content, subscription records, and AI usage aggregates can remain on Job Toast servers until they are edited or deleted through an available product flow, are no longer reasonably needed to provide or secure the Service, or must be retained for legal or operational purposes. Provider copies, logs, caches, and backups can follow different schedules. Job Toast does not claim a single fixed deletion time for every server, provider, log, or backup copy.
Withdrawing extension consent disconnects the extension, logs it out, stops its runtime, removes or invalidates its consent record, and clears named session context and unsynced offline saves from that browser. An invalid cleanup marker keeps the extension inactive until cleanup succeeds. Withdrawal preserves saved-job fingerprints, dismissal preferences, retry history, and unrelated extension settings. It does not clear values already inserted into an ATS page.
Withdrawal does not delete your Job Toast account or records already stored on Job Toast servers, document services, AI providers, logs, or backups. Job Toast does not provide a verified automated account-wide deletion that is proven to erase every database record, stored object, provider copy, log, and backup. Individual records can have separate product controls. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion; applicable rights, exceptions, identity checks, and technical limits depend on your location and the record.
The web application uses session and anti-forgery cookies to keep users signed in and protect requests. The extension uses named Chrome storage entries rather than a general browser-storage wipe. Job Toast applies access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the Service, but no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Job Toast and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy and data-protection rules can differ between those locations.
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and Job Toast does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or its practices change. We will post the revised notice at this URL and update the effective date. A material extension disclosure change can also require a new versioned choice inside the extension before page processing resumes.
